The Birthday Suit with Rod Jones of Idlewild
This started as Rod's solo project with the release of his first solo album "A Sentimental Education" and has since formed into The Birthday Suit. The Birthday Suit is a return back to Rods punk roots and has been said to sound like "Idlewild thundering along the M8 with Bruce Springsteen on the radio, Sonic Youth strapped to the roof rack." - The Guide Gig Reviews - Edinburgh Evening News

I originally got involved with this project through an audition, which led to me rehearsing with Rod and recording the drums on the Birthday Suits debut album "The Eleventh Hour" which was released through our website on 11/11/11 and is also available on iTunes.
Through this release, we also went out on a UK tour in February 2012 and have many other gig opportunities throughout the year. See the website or Upcoming Shows/Tours for more tour info.
The Eleventh Hour has received many great reviews since it's release, receiving 4/5 K's in Kerrang! Magazine amongst many others. These reviews can be seen through our PR website. The Birthday Suit have also been featured on the BBC Introducing Radio Show, by Chris Sweeny in the "Ones 2 Watch" feature in the Scottish Sun. Jim Gellatly also featured us on his radio shows broadcast all over scotland, and in a recent review in the Scottish Sun.
Our record "A Conversation Well Rehearsed" is out now on iTunes and through our website!
In it's first week of general release, it received 4/5 In Kerrang! Magazine, Album of The Week on Tom Morton's BBC Radio Scotland Show and has also been featured and streamed through Q Magazines main site.
